with pastel green eye shadows
and emerald bushels of garland
that glisten in the charcoal night.

They're visions of golden showers

that embrace the lively bedrock,
awakening the creatures within.

weaving through the loose locks
of Irish boys and their lovers,
dancing under the Celtic stars.

They're the ancient melodies
that consume every fantasy heart
and yearner of good luck,
well-wishers and explorers.

others think that hate is the essence of sin.
But what about the very concept of pride
that feeds the ego dwelling inside?
I've had my share of seeing such pride
and how it destroys the light in one's eyes.
What once was beautiful turned out to be
the characteristics of deep vanity.
Don't they know, it's the humble soul
that truly surpasses any other jewel?
And if one should think that they are better,
it just ruins their appearance altogether.

eyes set in a yearning gaze.

we relentlessly dream,

Nations of WarEveryday is a constant war
for this world so bound in tears.
Nothing but the thin, dying air
consumes our hearts for years.
Have we really come this far
in our fight to quarrel some more
or is there something deep inside
that we're still waiting for?
Our desires turn to dust
when we behold this land of hate.
Nations continue to lust
after thoughts that discriminate.
People of diverging cultures
slash at each others' throats,
diminishing all the beauty
that this earth could need the most.
Potential friendships are lost
to a cold burgundy sea.
Love is easily dismissed
due to selfish families.

Sugar-Coated CafeBreathe into me
a new paradise,
a simple world
where we can dine
in a quaint cafe
while laughing
and sharing all
of our secrets;
a place where
flavor flourishes
forever on our lips,
so we aren't left
with one drop
of bland energy.

Take me there,
that I may capture
your teasing smile
as we split a drink
with cream topping.
Meet me there,
that I may sweep
my fingers across
your delicate cheek
after you leave a trace
of sweet vanilla frost.
Come, so we may hold
the most luring feast
any cafe has seen.

Breathe into me
this new paradise,
so that we may talk
and laugh and share
these moments

Flood of Hope~ Nothing quite compares
to the beauty of the rain
that crowns me in hope
and carries me away
into another world
where I feel so free
from this broken land
and haunted jubilees.
In the dreary night,
I can hear them sing
of the trifling rain
that this nature brings
and it makes me mad
knowing that they rebuke
this lovely thing called rain
that serves as my refuge.
Under it's healing touch,
my soul is at eternal ease.
Scars of shame disappear
like black holes in the galaxy.
Since my darkness fell
to the power of the rain,
everything is brighter within

AlluringThe corridors were illuminated by burning jewels;
rubies redder than apples reflected an irresistible light.
Imprinted upon the barriers were streaks of charcoal.
And I was utterly mesmerized.

At the end of the passageway, there was a stone box.
The crevices seemed to glisten dimly, making my eyes dilate.
Skimming my ear canal, a sonorous tune echoed.
Was I drunk on imagination?

For several years, I felt nothing but bewilderment.
Questions lingered o'er my head like dream catchers.
The world around me was submerged in logic,
But I had no desire to live there.

Now, it was as if I was pushed into a distinct realm.

With quivering finger

Endless SparksIs this what it means to be inspired,
to envision a world in romantic light?
I've always been a youth of my dreams,
discovering bliss in every story I write.

Is this what it means to be entranced,
to find magic in a single vintage page
as I roam all of these beautiful realms
inside an athenaeum of an ancient age?

Is this what it means to be breathless,
to be taken by the aura of sweet pear?
Here traces of succulents linger about
like figments of Eden everywhere.

I suppose this is what it truly means
to feel the power of deep inspiration.
And now I see, it's the smallest of things
that awaken my joyful sensations.

Lost LoverI woke up to a world entangled in white,
where the black trees coexisted with light.
And the ice fell swiftly upon my pale skin,
waking me and making me feel alive again.

Enchanting it was, but it left me so cold,
as I was yearning to find my lover to hold.
Somewhere deep in the darkness of dusk,
I had lost him to the wintry must.

So I searched for him again and again,
shouting his name in the depths of the wind.
But no matter how hard I tried to speak,
I could feel the ice sealing my lips so weak.

Then in the distance I could hear a sound
that said, "Darling, won't you come around?"
It shook me and made me feel empty ins

into the magical fusion.

This is my summer illusion...

I remember those summer nights
when we danced like mirthful angels
under the clear, starry skies
that expanded across the land.

And the colors burned so bright
like an ancient tribal fire.
Skirts swayed in the glory light
with lipstick shades of red.

And I could hear the wolves cry
like a melody in the distance.
The taste of mild salsa spice
lingered forever on my tongue.

And I will never forget those nights
when the wild world around us
was nothing but a beautiful sight
under a lantern-lit ocean.
